West Indies defeat India by 1 wicket in second ODI

Kemar Roach got himself a perfect birthday present as he guided West Indies to a thrilling one-wicket victory over India in a nail-biting encounter in the second ODI of the Tri-series on Sunday.
Chasing a modest target of 230, West Indies made a heavy weather of the chase despite a sparkling knock of 97 by opener Johnson Charles but finally managed to register their second win in the tournament with 14 balls to spare.

With nine points from two matches, West Indies are in with a bright chance of making it to the finals.

Roach (14 no) kept his cool as he flicked Umesh Yadav (3/43) towards square leg to bring up the victory in a match where fortune swung like a pendulum.
The foundation of the victory was laid by opener Charles who faced 100 balls hitting eight boundaries and four huge sixes. He added 116 runs for the fourth wicket with Darren Bravo (55) and the victory didn't look out of sight.
However Dhoni suffered from cramps in the 43rd over which led to a medical break which must have hampered Raina's concentration as he edged one to Denesh Ramdin behind the stumps. Raina faced 55 balls and hit four boundaries. With Raina gone and Dhoni injured, the possibility of reaching 250 became out of question.

The motion poster was unveiled on Thursday afternoon. Hrithik Roshan tweeted: “To the SUPERHERO inside each n every one of you.. Realise it! Reveal it! Watch the first look.”

And what is it we see in the first look? A frozen shot of a superhero’s sculpture blown to smithereens. It’s a foggy scene of apocalyptic destruction. A severed hand popping out of the rubble of stones and boulders; a car upturned; and in the backdrop the hazy silhouette of a skyscraper. All this is revealed to the accompaniment of ominous music.

Acer's Iconia W3 tablet at Rs 27,999

Acer Iconia W3 holds the distinction of being the world's smallest Windows 8-powered tablet. It is the first true rival of the popular Apple iPad mini and the plethora of Android tablets like Google Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 510. At the launch event, we played a bit with the device for a hands-on review.

It doesn't feel tremendously strong or expensive, but it does have a much more one hand-friendly form than any other Windows 8 tablet to date. It's also the first we've used to be based around a portrait design - as the mandatory Windows home button sits on one of the narrower sides, at the other end of the bezel to the front-facing camera.

To simplify matters in dumbing-down fashion, the Acer Iconia W3 is currently the closest thing Windows has to an iPad mini alternative.

Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt admits to spot-fixing

Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt admitted on Friday he was involved in spot-fixing three years ago and apologised.
Butt's and Asif's appeals in the Court of Arbitration for Sport were also rejected in April while Amir had accepted he was guilty and did not appeal against his five-year ban.
"I admit the decision of the ICC tribunal," Butt said. "I said it before and I am saying it again that to all those who have been disappointed by my action I do apologise to them. Also, the effect it had it on cricket's integrity, I would like to apologize for that."

Butt was the captain in the Lord's test when Amir and Asif bowled predetermined no-balls, and later it was revealed that all three players had connections with a businessman, Mazhar Majeed, who was also arrested in one of cricket's biggest scams.

Priyanka's India vs Mallika's India

In the recent cannas film festival, mallika sherawat made some comments about India and Priyanka chopra is not happy with that. Even though the situation didn’t escalate that far that we could remark it as catfight, there was something I found interesting about. So, let’s talk about it.

During the festival, mallika told a reporter “I made a conscious decision to divide my time between Los Angeles and India, So when I enjoy the social freedom in America and go back to India, which is so regressive for women, it’s depressing. As an independent woman, it’s really depressing.”

Priyanka chopra was not happy at all with this remark so she answered at her recent appearance for UNICEF. she said at the event "I think we are a progressive nation. I disagree that we are a regressive    nation. We are all sitting here and talking about educating the girl child, taking our country forward. I think it's a misrepresentation of what our great nation is on the world platform."

What amuses me is that both have written new chapters in the book “how to expose in Bollywood”. While Priyanka chopra is known for her shortest blouses in the world, Miss Hiss is known for introducing intimate physical contact and bikini appearances in Bollywood. Even after all that she is remarking India as regressive for women on international stage. I wonder what extent of freedom does she wants. I don't think want another sunny leone.

calling your own country  "hypocritical" and "regressive" will not make you the ambassador of Indian cinema. We suggest you give Cannes a miss next year!

Indian Cricket team has always been criticized for their poor performance at overseas due to their poor skills of playing short pitch balls. In overseas pitches of England,Australia,South Africa,West Indies , there is always presence of good bounce and swing and to tackle this,Indian team was not so favorite as other teams like SOUTH AFRICA ,ENGLAND,AUSTRALIA.

The Uttarakhand Tragedy

From past over a week, the natural disaster happened in Himalayas has occupied everyone’s mind space. But was this disaster really natural?

Large scale devastation happened in Uttrakhand due to heavy rains.. But this tragedy partly can be attributed to as natural and partly manmade... large number of houses and hotels were made on the banks of river which interfered in the flow of river.. Large scale commercial activity made eco sensitive area prone to disaster like this. Entire Mountain behind kedar nath temple toppled on the valley below thus covering entire kedar ghati with up to 2 mtrs. of rubble.

However, thousands of people died in the tragedy. Once again our army did wonderful job and saved over more than one lakh people.

Real Men Don't Rape

Just finished today’s newspaper. Rape, rape, kidnapping and rape, murder and rape and gang rape. Really disappointed to see the direction in which society is going. Honestly speaking, ab toh newspaper padhne ka man hi nahi karta. It’s always the same stories. Bas victim ka naam or jagah badal jate hai. Real men don’t rape, is it really so difficult to understand for these psychos?

BTW, did you heard that? Manikins are being banned in Mumbai. As a matter of reason, they are causing rapes. Interesting part of the story, instead of some khap panchayat, this time some women organisation complained about those statues wearing lingerie, saying they feel uncomfortable around them. Nice move I must say. I mean yes they do increase sales but they are cool only when clothes are tried on them. When it comes to bras and panties, they can actually make you uncomfortable when you are with your parents. Who would like to face a woman in lingerie while walking down with parents? Although they are just statues but they are of real life dimensions.
